- National Cataloguing Unit for the Archives of Contemporary Scientists This valuable resource has archived the personal scientific records of numerous UK 20th century scientists, but so far very few geneticists have been included; Arthur Mourant and Sir Cyril Clarke are two workers who have been covered and recently the records of James Renwick, Cedric Smith and Malcom Ferguson-Smith have been catalogued it is hoped that these will be extended further in the near furture.

- American Philosophical Society (APS) The library of this society has a unique collection of the scientific records of early American geneticists, but so far human and medical genetics is very little represented. The recent addition of Dr Arno Motulsky's records is a first step towards strengthening this aspect of the APS collection. The Society also publishes the Mendel Newsletter.
